Harborough at War – The Day
James Sullivan – Harborough at War 2019 on the 2nd & 4th of August 2019 was Great!. I really enjoyed this Job as it was very mixed. With Tanks, APC’s, Gun’s and Models nothing could go wrong. Fortunately, nothing did and we got some pretty good shots. The Weather went from sunny to blown very quickly, causing lighting issues. As did the 300 odd people wandering by every few seconds. Thanks to Colin for providing the Transport and Glamping accommodations for the weekend. Also Many thanks to Steve the organiser, Stinky Pete, Jenni, Millie & Holly. A great round of applause to the Wonderful Stall Holders, Characters, Acts and more making the James Sullivan – Harborough at War gallery possible.
Harborough at War – The Models
Our Models worked really well in all the Genres we shot. Hats off to Jenni, Millie & Holly for doing such a great job. Changing & Makeup was difficult for the girls. But they Soldiered through if you’ll excuse the pun. High Heels and High grass are always a challenge but no broken ankles. I’m sure you think they did very well too! Well done Jenni, Millie and Holly!
Harborough at War – My Kit
My Sigma 85mm Art and 24-105mm Art lenses both performed really well under the circumstances. With some Tack sharp shots from the 85mm f 1.4 Art Lens. Eventually managing to get some sweet shots to make a blown day worthwhile. As there was lots of natural white light, I decided to proceed to use it as a VERY BIG softbox. Adjusting my settings accordingly we got some great Stills. Not having planned to do any Indoor shoots that day. Plus there were lots of bands playing we shot the day before. We decided not to take a flashgun or reflector with me (D’oh). Thankfully the nice Big Aperture of the Sigma came into its own. Some small Photoshop adjustments later and I am quite happy with the results.
